2019 · Public art commissions, publications, brand and museum collaborations

We work with creatives across disciplines to make good stuff happen — whether that’s raising awareness, raising money, creating a zine together, hosting an event or workshop, or curating talks and exhibitions.

Grrrl Zine Fair is artist-led, with social activism at its heart. Since 2019 we’ve been taking on public art commissions to develop work with communities and produce publications: Right Here & Tomorrow with Offset Projects, and the Manifesto for Essex — from workshops, artist collaborations and writing submissions — which was distributed across Essex and led to Essex’s first youth Climate Conference.

Recent collaborations have included TOMS vegan shoe customisation; an Everpress campaign for International Women’s Day with six zine makers designing t-shirts for six charities; zine library pop-ups at the British Film Institute and V&A Museum; an exhibition and talks with Times Art Museum, Beijing; a Soho Radio takeover with Nova Twins live, launching Issue 2 of Grrrl In Print; and workshops with Beavertown Brewery, Selina Hotel Camden, Urban Outfitters and Facebook’s Analogue Lab.
